We must actively defend all voting rights on the books and protect ballot boxes everywhere — especially in cities and urban areas, where ballot-box access is most vulnerable. Protect vote counting: the most formidable problem we face in November. No more Bush v. Gore debacles. Vigorously protect mail-in voting. And no ICE or federal agents at polling places.

After the Win

After a November Democratic win, we must undo Citizens United. Voter ID must end as an issue — establish Real ID with added protections as the Voter ID gold standard, to take effect only when 95% or more of registered citizens have Real ID. And eliminate the plague of gerrymandering forever: pass a radical, bold, immutable anti-gerrymandering law that takes congressional-district decision-making out of the hands of politicians.
